Used to compliment the 32 Million address delivery points found behind Royal Mail’s PAF file, to give you a complete picture of every known premise in the UK.  This file in addition to Royal Mail’s 32 million Postcode Address File (PAF), is often used to capture, create and or maintain & clean in-house address lists.  This includes WEB registrations, forms and customer databases to reduce the number of returned or undelivered items from mailing programs.  Obviously, there are many more applications that you can use the PAF data for, including mailing, planning, leaflet distribution, logistics, navigation to name just a few!  This PAF download is the only official address database, and is provided by Royal Mail.   It is without any doubt the definitive, most up-to-date, and comprehensive address database available.

Coverage

The Multiple Residence is a CSV address file that identifies addresses that are delivered to a shared Delivery Point beyond the 32,429,796 million delivery points / addresses on Royal Mail’s Postcode Address File (PAF).  For example, MRES has address points for premises that have been sub-divided into flats, apartments, dwellings, and business units, etc.   MRES records / addresses are not found on the PAF universe so this file should be licensed if you need a complete picture of every premises, complimenting the delivery point addresses found on PAF.
