  • Royal Mail's Business Postcode Address File (PAF) Single User Options

Single User Licence: An annual renewing licence that can be cancelled at any time with three months written notice that permits one individual to use or otherwise access the product. It’s important that you understand the licence may not be shared or transferred to another person. For example, if there are several people sharing access to a common machine on which the Product is stored then each person will be classed as a user and need their own single user licence. Licences may not be transferred to other users, although there are exceptions for: holiday cover, maternity cover, or should an assigned person leave and be replaced.

  • Royal Mail's Business Postcode Address File (PAF) Multi User Options

Multi User Licence: An annual renewing licence that can be cancelled at any time with three months written notice that permits up to 300 users to use or otherwise access the product so long as all users are employed by the same organisation. Licences may not be transferred from one originally user person to another other person within the organisation unless for maternity cover, holiday cover or should a user leave your employ. Please contact us should you need further clarification.

An example: A call centre operates 24 hours a day and has 100 terminals that provide access to the licenced Product. Over the course of 24 hours there are three shifts of 100 agents sitting at these terminals. Each of the 300 agents will need their own licence so only one 300 person Multi User Licence will be required.

Another example: A charity has 200 part time people working / volunteering / representing for them (it doesn't matter if they are paid or unpaid so long as they are contracted). Even if these 200 volunteer or work part time, or job share they each need their own licence; in this case the 200 would fall within the one 300 Multi User Licence which is much cheaper than licencing 200 single user licences.

Example: You develop a solution where your clients / end users type in part of an address such as a postcode. Your solution then presents the user with up to 100 possible matches. The user then selects one of these addresses.
